Congratulations to the Hart Longhorns taking home the championship at the 1st Annual Longhorn 6 on 6 Tournament. Teams from Hart, Springlake, Valley, Silverton and PCHEA participated in the fund-raiser.
Ga’quorie Chatam, Offensive Player of the Year for District 2-3A was also named Class 3A All-State First Team First Baseman.

Display of the month for June and July, 2026, is an inhouse creation by library personnel, Sulema Oltivero and Rosa Medina, here at Rhoads Memorial Library. The theme of 'Unearth a Story' features dinosaurs digging up items that are story-worthy, or in our case, books for our summer reading program.

A bridal shower for Jewell Malick, bride-elect of Landon Porsch was held in the lovely home of Teresa Williams on June 6, 2026.The morning affair featured a serving table displaying pink hydrangeas and pink poppies with black and white Courtly Check MacKenzie-Childs serving pieces.

The county has been blessed with widespread rainfall over the past several weeks, and as a result, the burn ban has been lifted until further notice. Praise the Lord!Since April, county residents have gathered every Monday at noon at the courthouse gazebo to pray for rain.
