Dimmitt man killed in Highway 385 crash

A 30-year-old Dimmitt man, Gilbert Olivarez. was killed in a rear-end collision with a semi tractor trailer eight miles north of Hereford on Highway 385 the morning of Thursday, June 11 at 8:34 a.m.

The Deaf Smith County Historical Society paid tribute to a late matron of the Deaf Smith County Museum, Lois Gililland, during a special ceremony at the Ruby K. Sears Memorial Garden on the north side of the museum Friday, June 5. The Historical Society also honored Mrs. Gililland’s son B.J.
